Dzukou Valley Trek

Altitude: 2450 meters (8000 ft.).

Trail Type: Easy to moderate gradients. Steep incline trek of 3-4 kms going through rocky pebbles and stones. Anyone can attempt this trek without much fuss but do remember to carry your nourishment with you.

Rail Head: Shared taxis are available from BOC, Kohima to Viswema village of Zakhama. Take the NST (Nagaland State Transport) bus from Dimapur to Kohima. Dimapur to Kohima is 74 kms by road.

Base camp: Reach Viswema Village by shared car from Kohima.

Starting and Ending Points: Guwahati

Duration: 5 Nights | 6 Days

For Inner Line Permit of Nagaland and Registration Form following Docs are Required

  • Passport photo (3.5×2.5 cm size) one attach with form and two extra

  • Address proof

  • Identity proof

Things Included:

  • Dimapur to Kohima Travelling Expenses(Sumo)

  • Twin/Three sharing basis

  • ILP/Trekking Permit /Permission

  • Entry Fees.

  • Sleeping Bags, Mattresses

  • Tent Accomodation

  • All Meals and drinks (Packaged drinking water & Soft drinks) throughout the Trek

Things Excluded:

  • Personal Expenses such as Laundry, hard drinks.

  • Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary.

  • Camera fees, Guide / tour escort charges, Porter charges.

  • Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances, etc (to be borne by the client, who is directly payable on the spot).

  • Service Tax, Insurance.

  • Anything which is not include in the inclusion.

 

 A basic Checklist for your trip:

Adventure travel requires one to be adequately equipped with the right kind of personal gear. Since one is travelling in to the wilderness they would be hardly any opportunity to buy anything once you hit the trail so we urge you to carefully pack everything in to your bags.

  • Identity Card

  • Shirts/T-shirts-2

  • Trekking pants-1

  • Regular socks (3-4 pairs)

  • Comfortable trekking/hiking shoes(shoes with a thick sole are recommended)

  • Jacket or sweater and other warm clothes like muffler, gloves, winter cap etc

  • Walking stick (not compulsory)

  • Lightweight flipflops/sandals/slippers

  • Raincoat/Poncho

  • Small light weight towel

  • One light hiking bag

  • Water bottle (sturdy ones, no empty Bisleri bottles!!)

  • Mosquito/Insect Repellent Cream

  • Torch with extra pair of cells

  • Personal medical kit, soap, paste etc. Please don’t expect to get medical stores everywhere.

  • Carry your luggage in a backpack. You should be able to walk long distances carrying your luggage
