The Motorcycle Diaries

This is a ride for the adrenaline junkie in you, for the wanderer, for the adventure your heart yearns.  This ride will take you through mountains, forests, across rivers and valleys. This is a wild ride through Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland and Meghalaya, giving you the best sights, wildlife hot spots and plenty of local experiences that you would cherish. The average ride time per day is about 8 - 12 hours.

The brief itinerary for the 14 day ride is as below

Day 1

Arrive at Guwahati. The team will assemble at the guest house for a briefing and get a good night's rest as we head out early on Day 2.

Day 2

We ride to Sangti Valley in Arunachal Pradesh at 6:30 AM. Stay in Sangti Valley overnight.

Day 3

Local sights in Sangti, hot springs, war memorial with local food and wine.

Day 4

We ride to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh via the Sela Pass and stay in Tawang for the night.

Day 5

Ride around Tawang, visit the town and the local monastery. We stay in Tawang for the night.

Day 6

Ride to Bomdila from Tawang and stay at Bomdila for the night.

Day 7

Ride to Kaziranga National Park and stay there for the night.

Day 8

Do the Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park, spot the famous one-horned Rhinos, Wild Buffaloes and other wildlife.

Day 9

Ride from Kaziranga to Kohima and stay in Kohima for the night.

Day 10

Local sights in Kohima, War Memorial and also a visit to the Kisama Heritage Village.

Day 11

Ride from Kohima to Guwahati and stay in Guwahati.

Day 12

Ride from Guwahati to Shillong with local sights enroute. Stay in Shillong for the night.

Day 13

Ride from Shillong to Cherrapunji and see local sights in the region. Stay in Cherrapunji for the night.

Day 14

Drop at Guwahati and end of the amazing trip. Go home with amazing memories and awesome photos to make your friends back home jealous :)

  • Extra costs incurred due to extension/ change of the itinerary due to natural calamities, road blocks, vehicle breakdown etc. i.e. factors beyond our control
